About the event

Full Course Description:

Comprehensive Sex Education from an early age has many benefits for young people including increasing bodily autonomy, practicing clear communication and setting boundaries, identifying healthy friendships and relationships, building awareness and understanding of the diversity of gender and sexuality, and developing confidence. Young people who are confident and can clearly communicate about their sexuality are not only at lower risk of experiencing abuse, but they also are more likely to access reproductive/sexual health care as they age, and are more likely to use methods of protection if they choose to be sexually active. Each class is an inclusive learning environment, where students can ask questions and practice communication skills without shame or judgement. The sessions are open to children of all genders, and are inclusive of all identities. Each class is 2 hours, and can be taken on it's own, our as a part of the full 4 part series. This the the registration for the first class in the series. Each individual class is $50. If you would like to register for the whole 4 part series--please look for the 3rd-5th grade WHOLE series event and register.
